I have no fear the Lord is my all I need

The LORD is my light and my salvation; Whom shall I fear? The LORD is the strength of my life; Of whom shall I be afraid? Psalms 27:1

David said that the Lord is his light - where there is light, no darkness can penetrate through. He is our salvation - The Lord our God is able to save us from anything that tries to harm us. The Lord is our strength of life - He keeps us alive, and He gives us strength to sustain us.

Knowing all of this now, who shall you be afraid of? If you know what the Lord is to you, why should anything or anyone make you afraid? When you know the Lord, truly know Him and who He is to you based on scripture and the many blessings He alone has bestowed upon you, holding on to those truths far outweighs the fear we may feel at any point in our lives. Who God is will last forever, can we say the same about momentary fear?

David knew who the Lord represented to him because he had a personal relationship with God and personal experiences with God. Let us draw nearer to the Lord and replace the fear etc. with the knowledge of Him. That alone is enough to banish any fear in our hearts.

God bless you and keep you. If this message has been a blessing to you, share it with a friend. Have a great day!

Sin living in me

19 For I do not do the good I want to do, but the evil I do not want to do—this I keep on doing. 20 Now if I do what I do not want to do, it is no longer I who do it, but it is sin living in me that does it. Romans 7:19-20

We fight with our flesh or our sinful nature daily. I know I do. Sometimes I may come from reading God's word, internalizing it, and feel like "Yes! I am delivered from this sinful nature!" But I turn around and do something that totally contradicts who I say I am, what I talk about, and what my goal is as a believer. There is a battle between the spirit and flesh and the mind and body.

Do not be discouraged if you make mistakes, do not stop striving for excellence. Paul goes on to say that God has delivered us through Jesus Christ. Let us keep our minds right as in it lies the law of God and put our bodies under subjection as there lies the law of sin.

God is love

He who does not love does not know God, for God is love. 1 John 4:8

Ever wondered why some people cannot love or are unfamiliar with love? It's because they have not experienced the love of God or do not know how much God loves them. That's why knowledge of God's love is so important. It will save you from making a lot of mistakes.

Read the bible, learn of God's love, and then when you love even if it is not returned you will know within yourself that you know what it truly means to love.

Nothing can separate us from the love of God

For I am persuaded that neither death nor life, nor angels nor principalities nor powers, nor things present nor things to come, 39 nor height nor depth, nor any other created thing, shall be able to separate us from the love of God which is in Christ Jesus our Lord. - Romans 8:38-39

I hope we can appreciate the type of love God has for us. Nothing can separate us from His love -NOTHING. That is how great His love is for us, who else do you know can boast of such love? -NOBODY.

Sometimes we have to be told we are loved and shown we are loved before we understand the magnitude of that love but God tells us repeatedly and shows us over and over. Want to understand His love, read the bible, the best love story of all time. Thank you Father for loving us so much!

Joy comes in the morning

"Weeping may endure for a night, But joy comes in the morning." Psalms 30:5

This just reminds us that everything has a beginning and an end. Whatever you are going through, it may be the worst possible pain you may be experiencing but know that it too will not last forever. It has to end in Jesus' name and when it does, a new season will emerge where you are joyous.

The pain will only last for a time when darkness may be all you see but when morning comes, when the light of a new day shines upon you, joy will surely follow.

His favor is for life

For His anger is but for a moment, His favor is for life; Psalms 30:5

David's life was in jeopardy when as he describes at the beginning of this Psalms. He says that he cried to the Lord and the Lord heard him, brought his soul out of the grave, and saved him that's why he gives thanks.

Sometimes we may be in the pit of death and still walk among the living. We may be so low that the only person who can truly save us in our Almighty Father. No matter how much we may anger Him know that when we start to walk in accordance to His word, His favor is for life. He is able to save us even from death. God's favor is what we should all desire, not his wrath.

God will fight our battles

"With Him is an arm of flesh; but with us is the LORD our God, to help us and to fight our battles.” And the people were strengthened by the words of Hezekiah king of Judah. 2 Chronicles 32:8

King Hezekiah told the people this after Sennacherib king of Assyria invaded and destroyed their city. The people were discouraged after this but Hezekiah reminded them what their God was able to do.
In life, we may forget that our God is here to help us and to fight our battles for us.

Do not be dismayed by your troubles or how big they may seem. God is here to help his faithful servants and those who call on Him. In the continuation of the chapter, you will see where Hezekiah and the prophet Isaiah prayed to God after the king of Assyria sent a message of how He would destroy them and also insult God. After praying, God sent an angel and it killed all of his top officials and army and they were put to shame.

We have to know our God can do any and everything. Don't let anything scare you, nothing life can throw at you can compare to what God can do to deliver you.

Living with Grief

Life is a gift, fragile and quite fleeting, and yet it is filled with so much purpose. Death though inevitable, often feels abrupt and harsh...
