"Therefore go and make disciples of all nations, baptizing them in the name of the Father and of the Son and of the Holy Spirit, and teaching them to obey everything I have commanded you. And surely I am with you always, to the very end of the age.” - Matthew 28:16-20
Welcome to Application of God's Word! The scripture above is known as the Great Commission. This is what Jesus told or commissioned His disciples before He went back to heaven to be with the Lord. Out of this scripture, our blog was birthed. We wanted a way to reach people of all nations with the word of God. Although we aren't able to follow through with the whole commission, in baptizing people, we hope that our blog will be that motivator that will lead many to baptism and more importantly to Christ. We also pray that our blog is a stepping stone for new Christians, a guide for Christians, and a light for non-believers. We do not claim to be the authority on God's word nor do we claim to be knowledgeable about every aspect of God's word. What we do claim to know is the transforming power of God and the power of His word. We do claim to be followers of Christ and truth bearers. We are here to help others along the way.
As writers, we are persons who have made mistakes, who truly did not deserve God to give us a second look based on the way our lives were going. We have hurt others through our actions, we have hurt ourselves and most importantly, we hurt God. Show me someone who is exempt from making mistakes and we will show you Jesus. No one can claim that, save Jesus Christ. God has a way of redeeming us, washing us, cleansing us from our sins and transforming us into people we didn't know we could become.
Our wish is that His word, will transform your life for the better, just like it has transformed ours. We are now a part of God's family and we wish that you will join this family if you haven't done so already. "It is not His wish that any man should perish but that all will have everlasting life."
We believe and have faith that applying God’s word can change your life the same way it has changed ours. Keep up with what's going on with this blog by following us on Twitter, Facebook, and subscribing to our posts.
Thank you for stopping by and checking out our blog. Be sure to share it with others.
God bless you!
