New Christians

Welcome to the Family of Faith!

Congratulations on the most important decision you will make in your life - receiving Jesus Christ as your Lord and Savior. Heaven is rejoicing, and so is God. Your decision brings Him great joy, because you have responded to His love.

"I say to you that likewise there will be more joy in heaven over one sinner who repents than over ninety-nine just persons who need no repentance." —Luke 15:7

God is not just pleased with your decision, He's delighted. You are now a part of His kindgom, and He is excited to walk with you every day from here until eternity.

You Are a New Creation

God is already at work within you, shaping you into who He created you to be. You're not just improved, You Are Made New.

"Therefore, if anyone is in Christ, he is a new creation; old things have passed away; behold, all things have become new." —2 Corinthians 5:17

Yes, people may try to remind you of your sins in the past and even your thoughts may get the best of you but remember that God has redeemed you. You are made new, old things have passed away. This change doesn't happen overnight, but God is patient, and He's excited to grow you day by day.

Start by Rooting Yourself in the Word

Now that you've begun this journey, the Bible will be your spiritual food. It will guide your thoughts, shape your heart, and help you make wise decisions.

"As newborn babes, desire the pure milk of the word, that you may grow thereby." —1 Peter 2:2

Start by reading a little each day. You can begin with the Book of John to learn about who Jesus is. Ask the Holy Spirit to help you understand and apply what you read.

God is With You, Always

Being a Christian and walking this walk is not easy, it is challenging. Although there will be challenges, you never have to face them alone. God is with you, and He has promised to never leave your side.

"And the Lord, He is the One who goes before you. He will be with you, He will not leave you nor forsake you; do not fear nor be dismayed." —Deuteronomy 31:8

Talk to God often in prayer. You don’t need fancy words—He delights in hearing your voice and wants a real relationship with you.

Stay Connected with Other Believers

You were not meant to walk this journey alone. Join a Bible-teaching church and surround yourself with other believers who can encourage, pray with, and walk beside you.

"And let us consider one another in order to stir up love and good works, not forsaking the assembling of ourselves together..." —Hebrews 10:24–25 (NKJV)

The Christian community should help strengthen your faith and give you a safe place to learn and grow in Christ.

Be a Doer of the Word

Reading the Bible is important, but living it is what brings God's Word to life in your actions. As you apply the Bible, your life will change in powerful ways.

"But be doers of the word, and not hearers only, deceiving yourselves." —James 1:22

Even small acts of obedience bring great joy to God, and they make your faith strong and fruitful.

Your Relationship with Christ is Personal

As you grow in your faith, you may encounter people—even in church leadership—who fail, disappoint, or behave in ways that do not reflect Christ. While spiritual leaders are important, your relationship with Jesus is personal, and no one should ever stand between you and Him.

"For there is one God and one Mediator between God and men, the Man Christ Jesus." —1 Timothy 2:5

No one has the power to cancel or weaken your relationship with God except you. Whether someone gossips, falls into sin, misuses their position, or lets you down, don’t let their failure pull you away from prayer, Bible reading, or your walk with Jesus. God is still holy, faithful, and loving, regardless of what people do.

Final Encouragement

You are deeply loved. God rejoices over you, not just for the decision you made, but for every step you take toward Him. You are His child, and He takes great delight in you.

"The Lord your God in your midst, The Mighty One, will save; He will rejoice over you with gladness... He will rejoice over you with singing." —Zephaniah 3:17

Heaven is celebrating you today. Stay close to Jesus, keep growing in the Word, and know that God is proud of you.

God bless you!
