New Creation in Christ: Old things have passed away; behold, all things have become new. 2 Corinthians 5:17

"Therefore, if anyone is in Christ, he is a new creation; old things have passed away; behold, all things have become new."  2 Corinthians 5:17 I am not perfect. I have yet to meet that person who is. I have made mistakes in my life. I don't know anyone who hasn't. It has not been easy to get over what I've been through or some things I've done, but I know that I have gotten over it and it is truly in the past. You too can proclaim the same if God has brought you out and has brought you through!         When I reflect on my past, I am undeserving of God's love or His grace but the mere fact that I am in Christ, He states that I am a new creation. My sins have been forgiven and God has removed them from me. "For as the heavens are high above the earth, so great is His mercy toward those who fear Him; as far as the east is from the west, so far has He removed our transgressions from us."   Psalm 103:11-12 .        Al...

Thanks be to God for His Indescribable Gift

Image
Thanks be to God for His indescribable gift! 2 Corinthians 9:15       I believe that among all the gifts that God has truly given us, Jesus ranks number one on the list. This gift is like no other. Jesus, The Word, came down to earth, in human form, to teach us more about our heavenly father is truly something that we cannot fully comprehend. This gift is so awesome that our minds cannot conceive of an appropriate word to truly describe the gift of Jesus Christ.       Therefore, Paul says it best when he calls Jesus an indescribable gift. Furthermore, he says "Thanks be to God..." We ought to be grateful that God saw it fit and deemed us worthy enough to send His son Jesus to die for our sins. That to me is unfathomable. But yet He still did it, so let's thank the Lord Almighty with all our hearts. Continue to give God thanks and praise. God bless you!

God we thank You and praise Your glorious name! 1Chronicles 29:13

“Now therefore, our God, we thank You and praise Your glorious name. 1Chronicles 29:13 Everyday is a day of thanksgiving! God has been so good to me, and everyday He's blessing me! Today is Thanksgiving Day! Although some countries do not celebrate it, it's a national holiday in other countries. Its a good time to get together with family and enjoy many delicacies. Many sit around the table, state the things they are grateful for and then stuff themselves with turkey and ham.        Although it promotes family togetherness, the purpose of this day should not be forgotten. It is a day to give thanks to God, hence the name of

Give thanks to the Lord... Make known his deeds among the peoples!

Oh, give thanks to the LORD! Call upon His name; Make known His deeds among the peoples! 1 Chronicles 16: 8      Ever had someone's testimony change your life or just propel your walk with Christ to the next level? Well, it has happened to me and that is why testimonies are so important. Some people feel more willing to share than others but when you can share in detail or not so much detail what God has done in your life, it helps others a lot!       We must give thanks and let other people know what our Lord is capable of and what He has done. Praise His name! God bless you!

Pray, Be Watchful And Give Thanks

Continue earnestly in prayer, being vigilant in it with thanksgiving.  Colossians 4:2       This is great advice to us as believers. We must continue to pray, being vigilant and thankful. Prayer connects us with our heavenly Father so that communion can take place. Let's be vigilant of the things around us, knowing that the time is near and waiting for Jesus' return. Let's be thankful in all things, in all circumstances as this humbles us and molds us to be more spiritually minded.      We are reminded of this throughout scripture. Let us take heed and apply it to our lives.  May God's blessings be upon your lives brothers and sisters in Christ.

I Will Give Thanks To You forever!

11 You have turned for me my mourning into dancing; You have put off my sackcloth and clothed me with gladness, 12 To the end that my glory may sing praise to You and not be silent. O LORD my God, I will give thanks to You forever. Psalms 30:11-12       Have you ever been to a place in your life where the circumstances you were going through were too much to bear, it seemed, but God was able to turn your sadness into joy and your heartache into happiness? Sometimes it's only when we look back on where God brought us that we are more thankful, therefore we cannot keep silent and MUST praise Him.       I've often heard that people who have a greater testimony often have "crazier" praise. It reminds me of the woman with the alabaster box Luke 7:36-50 . Jesus told Simon a story about 2 people who owed a moneylender, one owed a greater amount than the other.  Neither could pay him back so he told them to for...

In Everything Give Thanks, For It Is God's Will

Image
In everything give thanks; for this is the will of God in Christ Jesus for you. 1 Thessalonians 5: 18       No matter what you are going through, give thanks to God. There is always a ray of light or a glimmer of hope in any circumstance when we are believers of the Lord. That ray of light is God Himself because He will deliver us, even if we have to suffer a little while.       When I think about the persecution the early believers went through and the fate of some of the disciples, the things that I go through mean nothing because there is no way my afflictions can compare to theirs. My heartaches can never compare to that of Jesus when he had to be put to death to save our souls.       Paul tells us that giving thanks is the will of God in Jesus for us. God wants us to be thankful to Him. He wants us to remember Him when we are consumed by our troubles. He wants us to keep our faith fixed on Him when everything we trust fa...
